In Year 1 we have been learning all about colour mixing. We have made our own colour wheels with the primary colours and mixed those together to create the secondary colours. We have also learnt how to draw a range of lines including vertical lines, horizontal lines and curved lines as we identified theses in the work of Jo Peel. As part of our learning on Our country we created observational drawings of the London landmarks such as Big Ben and Tower Bridge thinking carefully about the lines and shapes we could see.
We then used all of these skills to create our final artwork piece. We used our colour mixing skills to create the background and then we created our observation drawing of a London Landmark. We thought carefully about line, shape and proportion. We have had such fun with our art learning this half term.
