As part of our Geography learning about the local area today we conducted some fieldwork. We wanted to find out what physical and human features were in Stannington so we went on a walk to find out. We followed a route from a map and observed what was in the local area thinking about if it was a physical feature or a human feature.
“We are up the hill that is a physical feature”
“Our school is a human feature”
“The green open space is physical and human – the soil is physical but the trees will have been planted by humans”
“We have lots of shops – the Co op, the fish and chip shop, the village shop and the fruit and vegetable shop. They are all human features”
