Today the Year 1 children enjoyed an immersive Victorian toys workshop. The children met Miss Poppins who told them all about the different types of toys children in the Victorian era would have played with. The children used their learning from Science to identify the different materials the toys were made from before getting to play with them all. They even put on a Punch and Judy show! The children also had a Victorian playtime and had fun learning how to use hoops and sticks, yoyos and accordions! The children had a go at sorting toys from the Victorian era and modern day and also made their own Victorian toy to enjoy at home.
