The STARS Education scheme recognises schools and other educational establishments that have shown excellence in supporting cycling, walking and other forms of sustainable and active travel.

We have the Platinum Award and have been nominated in the National Schools Award 2023

As part of this work the children created a 5 minute walk zone around school. Could you park outside this zone and walk to school with your child/ren? 

We also us e the WOW activity tracker every day, in partnership with Living Streets.

WOW is a pupil-led initiative where children self-report how they get to school every day. If they travel sustainably (walk, cycle, scoot or Park and Stride) at least once a week for a month, they get rewarded with a special badge each month. It’s that easy!

The monthly WOW badges are made using excess yoghurt-pot material previously destined for landfill and are produced in the UK, minimising the carbon footprint. The packaging used is 100% biodegradable. Living Streets is proud to have found a brilliant use for landfill material.
