Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!

Today the children in Year 1 have had a visit from Mary Poppins. She brought with her some interesting toys for us to explore. We could talk about the similarities and differences between old and new toys:

“This is wood and very delicate” – Harlen

“It doesn’t have batteries” – Ethan

“How do you work it? Where are the instructions?” – Edith

“You twist and turn it to see the pictures” – Jack

“It needs a key to wind it up” – George

“If you look in and twist it you can see patterns” – Eloise

We could also talk about how lots of our toys are made out of plastic and have batteries in them.

We have had the chance to look at and play with lots of different old and new toys today and also to dress up in costumes too!

We have learnt lots of new skills when playing with these toys.

What a practically perfect in every way day we have had!
