FS have enjoyed a fantastic visit to the Botanical Gardens today. We learned so much about the places that plants grow in different climates. We sketched plants that you might find on a mountain or a pond and compared them. Later we visited the pavilion where we felt the warmer climate that the banana tree could grow in. We enjoyed learning about the cacti, it was amazing how they store the water and protect themselves with their prickly spikes. We looked at the different wild animals in the Gardens.

Later we went on botanical bingo. we loved finding the objects on our list. We had to find a fossil, a leaf bigger than our hand, a leaf that wasn’t green and even a bear!
