‘Parents and carers are particularly appreciative of the very effective induction arrangements and confirm that their children settle quickly in this engaging environment. They typically comment “my children have had the best start I could possibly wish for’ (Ofsted 2009)
Welcome to Foundation Stage
The emphasis in Foundation is to follow the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum, which focuses on the development of the individual child and provides high quality learning opportunities for the children to learn through play. The children are able to explore, take risks, have fun, form friendships, think critically and form their own ideas.
There are two classes in Foundation Stage:
Class 1 – Miss Gore sgore@stannington.sheffield.sch.uk
Class 2 – Mrs Birtles and Mrs Greensmith pgreensmith@stannington.sheffield.sch.uk
rbirtles@stannington.sheffield.sch.uk
Teaching Assistants: Mrs Ashford, Miss Hughes and Miss Mistry
