To start our Art Week we focused on collage and looked at the artist Robert Rauschenberg, who was one of the key artists to use collage. We now know that a key word for collage is ‘overlapping’. Have a look at what we did….
We then moved on to our printing work and learnt about the artist Yayoi Kusama. Did you know she is still creating art at the age of 93? Her key theme is the use of polka dots in all her work. We used dots to create designs and then transferred these to our T-shirts using corks, cotton buds and pen lids. What do you think about our finished T-shirts?
