The children in Reception loved learning about bears last half term! They learnt so many new facts:
“Speckled bears have sharp claws to help them climb trees” – Zoe
“A speckled bear eats meat and sleeps in the trees.” – Miles
“Speckled bears live in South America.” – Lenny
“Panda bears eat bamboo.” – George
“Brown bears are carnivores and they eat fish.” – Eva
“Polar bears live in the North Pole” – Aaron
“Bears hibernate in winter.” – Rosie
On their last day of school before half term the children made their own jam sandwiches. They learnt how to follow simple instructions to make their own picnic to eat in the garden. They had a fantastic day!
“Bears don’t eat jam sandwiches because they are carnivores and they eat meat!!” – Owen
The children in Reception have learnt some fantastic bear songs too!
All children had a great ‘beary’ first half term learning in the Foundation Stage! Well done children!
