This week we have had two Geography focus days in school and we have been learning about our local area.
First we carried out some fieldwork in our local area and we went on a walk to identify the human and physical features in Stannington. Then we explored the school grounds by locating different buildings and discussing their position. We created our own aerial view map of our school grounds. We thought carefully about what we like and dislike about Stannington and we made posters to show how we could improve our local area.
